I continue to be delighted by the variety and quality of ICT applications and products that originate in Hong Kong. I am particularly pleased that the classification of products and applications for the Hong Kong ICT Awards now allows us to give increased prominence to eLearning.

It is a great pleasure to find in Hong Kong so many devoted and hard working teachers who are determined to use ICT to challenge their students and create a learning experience that is more engaging and exciting for them. You will find many user friendly platforms and imaginative courseware showcased in these pages. You will also discover that a wide variety of users are being served by the winning entries, including overseas pupils learning Chinese as a second language and shy university students!

I congratulate the winners, and thank them for choosing the Hong Kong ICT Awards to promote their work. I am sure that they would like to join me in thanking the judges and assessors for their dedication and their valuable comments.
