"The organizer of HKICC2005 has chosen
a timely and relevant theme of 'Value
Creation in an Information-Based Economy'.
IT has become such an essential business tool
that to ignore it is to deprive business organizations
of the capability to effectively compete and
grow in a highly competitive marketplace,"
said Paul Chow, Chairperson of HKICC2005 Organizing
Committee. "We must strive to achieve
a good return on investment through every
facet of IT that will bring greater efficiency,
productivity and profitability to our organizations.
HKICC2005 will certainly give fresh insight
into how we can capitalize on IT to our competitive
advantage."
In its bid to empower companies in their value
creation efforts, HKICC2005 will focus on
facets of IT creatively explored, encouraging
enterprises to capitalize on their legacy
IT infrastructure as they invest in new technologies.
To enable an exchange of best practices, HKICC2005
will have leaders from different sectors to
share their experiences.
Since its launch in 1978, HKICC
has received the full support of the IT industry
and community in Hong Kong as well as the
Asia Pacific Region. Now in its 28th year,
HKICC is continuing to gain momentum with
last year's event drawing over 500 participants
from around the world. As in past events,
this year's conference will provide a vast
networking opportunity for IT professionals
