What is the real value
of Information Technology (IT) in an information-driven
economy? How do enterprises utilize advanced
IT tools to affirm their unique value to customers?
These are among the important questions to
be addressed at the Hong Kong International
Computer Conference 2005 (HKICC2005), the
annual IT conference organized by the Hong
Kong Computer Society (HKCS) to be held at
the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
(HKCEC) on 23-24 November 2005.
With this year’s theme being
“Value
Creation in an Information-Based Economy”,
the event expects to draw participants from
a cross section of industries in Hong Kong
and around the region. Speakers and panelists,
comprising of industry leaders and veterans,
will lead participants in fruitful discussions
on the elements that enable enterprises to
maintain their competitive advantages. Specifically,
the conference aims to discuss the facets
of IT to be maximized by enterprises looking
for ways of delivering greater value in a
highly competitive marketplace in industries
such as Banking/ Finance, e-Government, Tourism,
Gaming, Logistics and more.
