The Hong Kong International Computer
Conference (HKICC) is an annual event organized
by the Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS). Since
it was first launched in 1978, HKICC has received
full support from the Information Technology (IT)
industry and the community in Hong Kong as well
as in the Asia Pacific Region.
As the Hong Kong economy rebounds and the Pearl
River Delta and Chinese Mainland economies blossom,
local and foreign enterprises look for ways to further
increase their competitive edge as they capitalize
on opportunities in the Greater China market. HKICC2005’s
theme, "Value
Creation in an Information-Based Economy"
will be relevant as companies across various industries
begin to explore other facets of IT never before
discovered and use them to realize greater business
efficiency, productivity and profitability.
Competitiveness is the key to success in the knowledge-based
economy. How enterprise optimize their existing
IT tools and invest on new ones will go a long way
towards enhancing the way they utilize information
for more value delivery.
The HKICC2005, an annual IT conference to be held
at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
(HKCEC) on 23-24 November, 2005, features an insightful
sharing of IT best-practice by industry leaders
representing Banking and Finance, e-Government,
Tourism and Gaming, Logistics and more. Speakers
and panelists will lead participants into fruitful
discussions on the elements that enable enterprises
to maintain their competitive advantages. Specifically,
the conference aims to uncover the facets of IT
yet to be maximized by enterprises.
Now on its 28th year, HKICC is continuing to gain
momentum with last year’s event drawing over
500 participants from around the world. As in past
events, this year’s conference will provide
vast networking opportunities for IT professionals
and enterprises around the region.
