The Hong Kong International Computer Conference (HKICC) is an annual event organized by the Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS). Since it was first launched in 1978, HKICC has received full support from the Information Technology (IT) industry and the community in Hong Kong as well as in the Asia Pacific Region.

As the Hong Kong economy rebounds and the Pearl River Delta and Chinese Mainland economies blossom, local and foreign enterprises look for ways to further increase their competitive edge as they capitalize on opportunities in the Greater China market. HKICC2005’s theme, "Value Creation in an Information-Based Economy" will be relevant as companies across various industries begin to explore other facets of IT never before discovered and use them to realize greater business efficiency, productivity and profitability.
