 eClass
is an integrated platform comprising three
interactive components, Learn ing Management
System, Communication System and School Administration
Support System. Educational institutions can
use it to create a highly customizable all-in-one
virtual campus. Aff o rdable, feature-rich
and fully integrated, eClass enables advanced
course and student management, and supports
communications among members with different
roles. It provides a flexible means of grouping
members and powerful tools that assign individual
group rights. While better communication is
thus achieved, the
institution is still able to retain operational
control.
 eClass
derives its sound conceptual and pedagogic
basis from a Learning Technology Systems Architecture
(LTSA) proposed by the IEEE, and is designed
to support eLearning in educational institutions
and corporate training in enterprises.
Since 2001, more than 400 schools have adopted
eClass as their learning platform-one-third
of the share of the Hong Kong educational
market. Market share in Primary and Secondary
schools keeps growing rapidly and the number
of tertiary institutions and corporations
is expected to increase gradually. |
