Lam Wai-keung completed his BA at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. His graduation short film, Solider Crab, received prize from the Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards (IFVA) and had been shown in the local and overseas international film festivals. After then, he joined the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers to contribute to the local film professional training promotion. Prompted by the interest in global cinema study, he completed his MA at the Department of Comparative Literature, University of Hong Kong in 2009. Lately, his essays on Hong Kong cinema culture had been included in the World Film book series published by an UK-based publisher Intellect Ltd. He is currently a lecturer at Hong Kong Design Institute. His area of research interest includes Transmedia cinema narrative and media engagement studies. In recent years, he has devoted to promoting the knowledge of Transmedia to the local industry and has organized a chain of seminars and workshops led by overseas Transmedia pioneers. Since 2013, he had been the first group of trainers certificated by RED Digital Cinema worldwide.
