Dr. YAN Shi Xing
Program Director, Greater China, HP Labs Singapore

Dr. YAN Shi Xing is a Program Director at HP Labs Singapore, the central research arm of Hewlett-Packard Company. He is leading the research projects at HP Labs Singapore in the areas of big data analytics and cloud management. His research have been contributed to a number of research publications, US patents, and technology transfer to HP products.

Yan has been conducting the research on cloud computing, service automation and integration, and information management since joining HP Labs in 2006 as a research scientist. Previously, he worked as a software architect to lead the software product development in an IT consulting company in Singapore, and as a system/software engineer in China’s largest bank.

Yan is a senior member of IEEE and also a member of Working Group on Cloud Computing Interoperability Standards, Expert Group on Cloud Computing Services and Standards for Hong Kong Government. He also serves as Technical Program Committee (TPC) Member for many International Conferences.

Yan received his Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and B.E. degree in Information Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China.
