HKCS attended ABU Robocon 2012 Hong Kong Press Conference

Mr. Gabriel Leung, Director of Community Services, represented HKCS to attend the ABU Robocon 2012 Hong Kong Press Conference on 3 Nov 2010. HKCS is the co-organiser of ABU Robocon 2012.

ABU Robocon is an annual robot contest starting from 2002, just for university, college and polytechnic students in the Asia-Pacific region. Under a common set of rules, participants will compete with their peers in other countries to create a robot using their creative and technological abilities in an open competition. This contest aims to create friendship among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st Century, as well as help advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region.

Since 2002 the baton has been passed on to Thailand, Korea, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Japan and Egypt in 2010. In 2012, ABU Robocon will be held in Hong Kong.
