Project Objectives

The objectives of this 18-month project include:

1. To develop a long-term vision, framework and roadmap for an IT Professional Qualifications Certification System in Hong Kong;
2. To implement a pilot certification scheme in three priority IT professional competency areas and produce a review report on the result of the pilot;
3. To develop a framework for mutual recognition of IT professional qualifications between Hong Kong and the Mainland; and
4. To explore the feasibility of the establishment of a territory-wide self-sustainable IT Manpower Roster for Hong Kong.
