Video2MMS™
(Automatic Video Information Processing and Conversion
System
for Multimedia Messaging Service)
Submitted by The Chinese
University of Hong Kong, Video over InternEt and
Wireless Technologies Laboratory |
|
This fully automated system uses
newly-developed Video Information Processing and MMS condensation
technologies to automate the preparation process for the
supply of video content to local mobile phones. |
|
It
acts on the television broadcast signal to automatically
remove advertisements, identify the selected television
programme, and conduct scene analysis to determine the
most important scenes. The information obtained is converted
into MMS components for MMS delivery to mobile phones
or into mobile Internet video clips for mobile phone video
streaming.
Processing times are short and the system can be variously
configured to meet different user needs and different
mobile handsets, for example configuring MMS pictures
to the correct screen size and utilizing that size to
incorporate the maximum possible information. |
