The projects will be judged on five criteria including functionality and design, quality, innovation, prospects for future commercialization and presentations, as follows:   Functionality and Design - Easy to learn and use - Meet and exceed the initially defined user requirement - Good quality of work, reliable, efficient and adequate user support - Good deployment of current technologies to enhance the maintainability of the system - Scalable enough to suit user organizations of various sizes Quality - Fitness of purpose and success of implementation and user training - Practicality of application - Overall appearance - Level of user friendliness design features - Free of defects Innovation - Originality or enhancement - First of its kind in Hong Kong, the region, or the world - Effective deployment and integration of available resources or technologies - The possibility of a breakthrough in an upgraded version or any plans to develop an upgrade - Clear differentiation vs. competitive products if any Prospect for future commercialization - Potential to improve cost effectiveness of business processes - Generation of higher added-value to business users - Prospects for future development - Prospects for wider applications - Future benefits to other industries - Strategies in place to further develop project - Any others Presentation - Materials presented in clear and logical form - Clarity, structured and natural flow from one point to the next - Duration, a balance between duration and content. - Questions and answers (appropriate respond to judges’ inquiries with substantive answers) - Quality of visual aids (hardware, signs, computer demonstrations, etc.)
