Mr. Vincent LIM
General Manager, Public Sector, Enterprise Group, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific & Japan

Vincent Lim was appointed the General Manager, Public Sector, HP Asia Pacific & Japan, effective from October 1, 2013. His responsibility is to lead, in collaboration with his local HP counterparts and HP��s partners, and drive HP��s business and thought leadership in the Public Sector segment in the region.

Vincent joined HP from SATS (Singapore Airport Terminal Services) where he was Vice President of Corporate Business Development. Until 2010, SATS was a key subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. In his role, Vincent drove a number of the company��s Merger & Acquisition / Joint Ventures initiatives, as part of SATS�� expansion plans outside of Singapore, to the rest of the Asia Pacific, Japan & Middle-East region.

As a senior business leader with 25 years of experience in sales, business development and general management mainly in the IT industry, Vincent has worked in a number of top global 50 technology companies across Asia Pacific, including IBM, Oracle, Microsoft and Cisco.

Vincent built extensive knowledge and experience in the Public Sector early in his career with IBM and Oracle. Vincent led the team that executed on Cisco��s Smart & Connected City strategic agreement with the Provincial Government of Sichuan (in South West China), as part of the Chinese government��s Sichuan post-earthquake rebuilding program. Based on the 3 year full time engagement, his team played a key role in replicating organization-wide, the business models and solutions for the Public Sector / Smart City, including in areas of Healthcare, Education, Transportation / Logistics, Real Estate, Cloud and Internet of Things.

His experience and work in Smart City solutions and engagements have continued into his current HP role, albeit with a wider portfolio of solution & service offerings and customer references.

Vincent founded and managed his own IT services company during the dot com period of late 1990s and is conversant with M&A, strategic investments-related subjects.

Vincent holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Leicester, UK and a Bachelor of Science in Computer & Information Sciences from the National University of Singapore. He is married with four children.
