Mr. Murat OZTURAN
Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft Services, APAC & Japan

Murat Ozturan is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Asia, Pacific & Japan for Microsoft Global Enterprise Services. Murat is responsible for setting the technical strategy across Asia to align with trends, new solutions and technologies. He also determines the direction for the architecture of high priority projects, setting and executing Technology Adoption Programs (TAP), building and supporting Technical Communities, driving IP creation and usage, as well as contributing to Technical Quality Assurance.

He is a 20-year Microsoft veteran who is one of the founding members of Microsoft North Africa/Turkey region. He has strong field experience in the MEA region, South African and Turkish Subsidiaries in various technical capacities, from TS to Practice Manager to RM/PDM to the DPE Lead, resulting in claim to fame of successfully performing all possible technical roles in a field organization. He was also one of the first Enterprise Strategy Consultants at Microsoft.

Murat is an MSF (Microsoft Solution Framework) master trainer and has actively participated in its evolution throughout the years. Currently he is working on developing Services Foundational Principles (SFP) which will ultimately contribute to Microsoft Services' aspired culture.

After moving to Microsoft HQ, Murat joined the Enterprise & Partner Group of Microsoft as the Technology Development Manager in the Global Alliance Team. Here he led the technical efforts in building innovative quality solutions with Microsoft's key strategic partners like Accenture and Avanade. Later, he followed his goal to work in the product groups and joined the R&D team of Dynamics CRM. Murat has founded the Engineering for Enterprise group for Dynamics CRM and grew the team to accelerate the adoption of new technologies as enterprise solutions for the product.

Prior to Microsoft, Murat worked for Renault, France, and a major bank in Turkey as an Analyst Programmer. He also has entrepreneurial experience with their family business.
