Dr. CK Wong, MH
Chairman, iASPEC Technologies Group

Dr. Wong is the founders of the iASPEC Technologies Group. The Group operates a number of software companies in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the United States since 1988.

Dr. Wong obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. After a short teaching career at the university, he moved to the private sector as a consultant. While serving as the Principal Architect in a State of California government data centre, he received the Distinguished Services Award from the California Government in 1979 for his contribution in complex system design work.

Dr. Wong returned to Mainland China in 1982 and has served as a consultant to stateoperated organizations and has held senior positions in international IT companies in the Mainland and the Hong Kong SAR.

Dr. Wong is committed to the development of a strong information industry in the region. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Hong Kong Computer Society. He has served as members of the University Grants Counsel, the Research Grants Council, the Advisory Committee on Technologies for the Hong Kong Commissioner of Privacy and Personal Data; member of Vetting Committee on ICT projects for the Innovation and Technology Commission; members in the Advisory Committees of various faculties and departments of the Chinese University, the University of Science and Technology, the Hong Kong University, the City University and the Polytechnic University.

He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Information Engineering Department of the Chinese University; Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Division of Science and Technology at the United International College, Zhuhai. He is also a member of the HKSAR Government Cloud Computing Expert Group and a member of the Joint Expert Group appointed by the HKSAR and the Guangdong governments. Dr. Wong is also serving as members in the Innovation and Technology Committee and the Business in IP Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
