The HKICC has been one of the most important events of the IT industry each year, gathering experts and thinkers for forward thinking conversations. This year’s theme on how technologies can enable smart cities to turn from concept to reality is most promising. Smart city development will open entirely new landscape for ICT industries, by offering opportunities for applying open data, infrastructure and co-management tools to deliver benefits in areas such as waste management, commerce, education and community care etc. I look forward to the event and wish it every success.
