ISSID - Recent photo leakage incident - Why you and your organization should care?
The Hong Kong Computer Society's Information Security Specialist Group held a seminar titled "Recent photo leakage incident - Why you and your organization should care?" on 4th March 2008 at the Hong Kong Productivity Council. ?The event was very well received with the following panelists sharing their candid and professional view on the incident:

The event started with a short statement from each of the panelists to provide their perspective of the incident.? The moderator then probe into specific areas by raising some pertinent questions, representing the interest of the public and IT professionals. The event ended with lots of questions from the audiences.
Many issues were highlighted during the seminar, including the following:
Both individuals and companies should raise their level of IT risk awareness, particularly in view of the recent technological advancement

There is a need to educate youth and students on cyber ethics (e.g. "Ten Commandments Online")

The current legislations in relation to computer crimes may not be totally clear to a layman (and perhaps even professionals)

The Personal Data Privacy Ordinance, as it stands, may not provide adequate protection to the public

It may be difficult to define who is your "friend" in the cyber world

ISP and OSP can play a key role in data protection and computer crime investigation
