Mr. Carlos Genardini - CEO, Hong Kong Science and Technology ParksMr. Sunny W K Lee, President, Hong Kong Computer Society Mr. Sunny W K Lee joined The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) as Executive Director, Information Technology in July 2006, and heads a team of 360 IT professionals to deliver proven, high quality and cost-effective technology-based solutions and services that exceed agreed-upon business requirements.
Prior to joining HKJC, he spent 10 years at the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Ltd. (Towngas), where he held a number of key positions at the Company, inlcuding Chief Information Officer of the Group and CEO of two strategic diversification businesses, iCare.com Ltd. and Towgas Telecommunications Company Ltd.
Mr. Lee takes time to serve in many high level advisory committees in the academic, professional and community arenas, and is currrently President of the Hong Kong Computer Society as well as a member of the Hong Kong SAR Digital 21 Advisory Committee. In 1999, he was a recipient of Hong Kong's Ten Outstanding Young Digi Persons Award for his contributions to IT, and received the CIO Award from CIO Asia Magazine in connection to his work in Towngas in 2002.
Mr. Victor Kuan, Director General, Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre Mr. Victor Kuan was recruited by the Government of Macau Special Administration Region (SAR) as the Director-General of Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) in April 2000. Previously, he was engaged in the commercial sector for more than 30 years. One of his main objectives in CPTTM is to upgrade the qualifications of human resources in Macau, and he believes that it can be a means to better serve the Macau community in pace with regional development.
Mr. Kuan has also been invited as a member in some leading organizations on Information Technology and related fields. He is now the Vice-President of the General Assembly of Macao Science Center Limited, President of GS1 Macau, Secretary of General Assembly of Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre, Advisor of Association for Promotion of Science and Technology of Macau, and Advisor of Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology.
Nominated by the Macau SAR Government, he is member of Macau Science and Technology Council, Human Resources Development Council and SME Loan Advisory Committee.Mr. Carlos Genardini, Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation Mr. Carlos Genardini joined Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) as Chief Executive Officer in January 2006, and is responsible for the planning, development, marketing and operations of HKSTP. He is also a Senior Advisor to the International Association of Science Parks.
Mr. Genardini brings over three decades of technology management and experience to HKSTP, including four years as a vice president and manager of Motorola's Asia Pacific Semiconductor Products Group, and he was a founding board member of the Provisional Hong Kong Science Park Company Ltd., which later became HKSTP.
During this time, Mr. Genardini became involved in developing the semiconductor and technology industries in Hong Kong and throughout the region. Mr. Genardini has set up and managed state-of-the-art chip design facilities in Hong Kong, Singapore and China. He has also sat on the committees of engineering departments at the University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong. Mr. Genardini graduated from Arizona State University with a BSc in Electrical Engineering.
