Since its inception in February 2000, the HKCS e-Business Specialist Interest Group (the former group before EBSID) has been focusing on introducing the E-Business technologies and development in Hong Kong. Following the technology change and development of E-Business, in 2005 we saw there was the synergy to merge the three SIGs including eB-SIG, Database (DB-SIG), and Internet & Networking (IN-SIG) together as one division ˇV the EBSID, while the latter two SIGs were actually the supporting technologies for the electronic based businesses.

We foresee the E-Business will continue to grow, crossing the countries, changing the business rules, and saving the time and cost for enterprises. In order to cope with the changes, EBSID is prepared to serve the Societyˇ¦s members and the communities by organizing more quality events, and thus we need some like-minded members to join as our executive committee or working teams to advise and help to coordinate the various activities.
