Founded in 1970, the Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS) has played a vital role in molding information technology (IT) culture in Hong Kong, and its energy, enthusiasm and momentum is as positive today as when it was first formed. As a respected non-profit professional body, HKCS is committed to professional development and industry development as well as community services that ensure the IT industry continues to make a direct impact in people's lives.
HKCS believes that sharing knowledge is one of the keys to developing IT excellence. Every year, the Society organizes numerous cross-boundary initiatives to foster the understanding of the latest IT development trends and promote the wider use of IT to the public at large. All these events offer different types of organization work in which our volunteer members can exercise their strength and make the most contribution to the Society, as well as the IT industry and community.
