Ms Susanna Shen has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology. She started her career in IT after graduating from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Computing Studies. She attended an executive training programme at London Business School in 2001, and gained an Executive Master of Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong in 2004.

Susanna joined The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) in 1988 and has held various management positions. She has been the Head of Information Technology in The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) since 2005. Before taking up this role, she was the Chief Operating Officer of iCare.com Limited, previously a subsidiary business of Towngas. The IT team under Susanna’s leadership is responsible for providing corporate IT services and solutions to support the business mission of Towngas and its subsidiaries as well as the its China businesses consisting of over 120 joint ventures covering 20 provinces and municipalities.

She has been a Council member of the Hong Kong Computer Society since 2007 and currently holds the position of Vice President (Membership) and Honorary Secretary. She has been serving the community by tendering professional advice on various advisory panels and committees. She also serves the public services, being appointed as a member of the Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee as well as the Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Program (SERAP) Project Assessment Panel for the Innovation & Technology Commission.
