Ms Susanna Shen has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology. She started her career in IT after graduating from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Computing Studies. She attended an executive training programme at London Business School in 2001, and gained an Executive Master of Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong in 2004.

Susanna joined The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) in 1988 and has held various management positions. In 1995, as a Project Manager in the China Business Development division, she undertook and delivered the first China IT system which set the stage for implementing a standardized business process model across the Group's city-gas joint ventures. Between 1996–1999, Susanna played a key role in the Programme Management Office, implementing a corporate-wide business process re-engineering programme. In 1999, she was appointed Chief Operating Officer of iCare.com Limited, a subsidiary business of Towngas. In 2005, Susanna was appointed Head of Information Technology at Towngas. The IT team under Susanna's leadership is responsible for providing corporate IT services and solutions to support the business mission of Towngas and its subsidiaries as well as the Group's China businesses consisting of 80+ joint ventures covering 18 provinces and municipalities.

Susanna takes the time to contribute to the community service. She is a member of Towngas' District Council Focus Team which liaises with District Councillors, and is actively involved in voluntary professional work. She is a frequent speaker at local and China conferences. She has been the Director, International/China Affairs for the Hong Kong Computer Society since 2007.
