Mr. Michael Ma has been in the IT industry for over twenty-five and has held various sales and marketing, technical, consulting, management and executive positions with MNC in both vendor and user environments. Michael is most recently a VP of Group IT at AIA with responsibilities spanning across Asia Pacific covering 12 countries. Prior to joining AIA, he held the position of Regional CIO for Sun Life Financial responsible for IT and Operations in the Asia Pacific region.

Michael contributes to many not-for-profit organizations, positions held – Vice Chairman of the Canadian International School; Vice Chairman of the Chinese Canadian Association; Executive Committee member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce; Advisory Council of PMI. For HKCS, he has served as Ex-Co member, Council member and VP of Industry Development, member of the CIO Board, and previously member of the Community Services Committee and Membership Committee.

Michael has a B.Sc. (computer science) and MBA degrees, in addition to having Certified Computing Professional (CCP), Information Systems Professional (ISP) of Canada, IT Certified Professional (ITCP) of Canada, and Accredited Project Management Professional (APMP). He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Computer Society (FHKCS), and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (FHKIoD).
