Mr. Herman Lam joined Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (Cyberport) in March 2010. As the Chief Executive Officer of Cyberport, Mr. Lam is responsible for leading, representing and administering the company as well as playing a prominent role to promote and implement Cyberportˇ¦s public mission strategies.

Within the public mission arena, Mr. Lam sets the initiatives with comprehensive programmes in assisting the development of Hong Kong as a hub for innovation and trade in ICT, and encouraging the development and upgrade of ICT skills and resources in the wider community of Hong Kong.

Bringing with him a wealth of experience in IT, strategy, business operations and management, Mr. Lam was the General Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong Limited, where he led the company through a period of strong growth. Mr. Lam has also served in a number of leading multinational IT companies.

Mr. Lam has always been a keen supporter of Cyberport, and was substantially involved in cultivating and nurturing an environment conducive for the professional development of the digital and innovation talents when he was a former Chairman of the Cyberport Tenants Club.

Mr. Lam is also active in community affairs and industry development serving different statutory bodies such as the Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee, Digital Inclusion Task Force, Industry Facilitation Task Force, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council ICT Services Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong ICT Awards Steering Committee, the Hong Kong Computer Society Council, Internet Professional Association, Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association and the Wireless Services Value Chain Cooperation.

He holds a MBA in Business Computer Information Systems and a Bachelorˇ¦s degree in Business Administration from The University of North Texas in the United States.
